The MPAA wants to pour your money down the “analog hole”

Recently, the Motion Picture Association of America, or MPAA, has stepped up their efforts to tighten their stranglehold on the American public. They’ve vowed to use Congressional legislation to close what they call the “analog hole”. They feel very passionately that the ability to convert between analog and digital video formats should be regulated. The ability to take an analog recording and convert it to a digital format has been dubbed the “analog hole” by the MPAA in their efforts to make it sound devious. They’ve submitted reports to the Senate. They’ve testified in front of the House of Representatives. They even have a proposed law in the House.
