About
This site is the centralized repository for the written works of Hiromi Cota. It includes reviews of various products, opinion/editorial columns, fiction and essays. While not exhaustive, it serves as a virtual portfolio of my most prominent work.
On personal note, I am a former Army Ranger, having grown up in 3rd Ranger Battalion. I served in the US Army for 8 years, principally as an Infantryman and a leader, as well spending some time in the training room and serving as the Information Systems Security Officer for the Infantry Officer Basic Course. While working at IOBC, I caught the writing bug and began moonlighting as JIVE Magazine’s first columnist. As my writing skills developed, I began branching out into editing, assisting the rest of the staff writers in copy-editing their work. Shortly afterwards, I started the game reviews section and served as the principal editor for game reviews. Additionally, I launched the movie reviews section.
After tours in the Republic of Korea and Iraq, I was honorably discharged from the Army and moved to the Seattle area to be with my wife. I now work in IT for a major mobile phone company and am feeling the writer’s fever once more.
