A multi-disciplinary performer who has swung a flaming long sword in front of 800 screaming audience members
in Aeterno Elementum, delivered heartfelt monologues in an ice cream parlor in Icons, launched acrobats a dozen
feet into the air in Tewaz, fought valiantly in The Death of Snow White, dispatched a foe while dying of poison
at the Canterbury Renaissance Faire, and rose from the dead under a willow tree in a seaside park in Rashomon
Reloaded, Hiromi Cota has been regularly performing since 2013. She delights in getting audiences to
love her and then breaking their hearts when her character dies tragically.
Hiromi has been a trained actor-combatant with the Seattle Knights for over a decade, specializing in spear and double
short swords. She developed her acting chops under Tom Dang and Beverly Poole in the REBATE ensemble and honed her
stage combat skills under Kyle Robinson and Dameon Willich. She learned camera presence with Abie Ekenezar
during the Amazon Prime show Black & Blue, how to be a villain opposite F Braun McAsh, and how to die horribly
in Mi Chelle Nessk's indie horror films.
Recently, Hiromi performed several background stunt roles for the feature film The Death of Snow White and
brought audiences to a frenzy by winning Night Knight Fights, a knightly combat tournament/variety show as
her primary knight character: Dame Hilda dePlomelin, and then stripping out of her steel plate armor. She also
wrapped up a 5-year D&D actual play in 2025, saying goodbye for now to her autistic snakegirl wizard character Zassa.
She has embraced the role of party leader as Nanu Mindcaller, the goliath rogue, in the quarterly live-action
improv RPG show Whose Crit Is It Anyway? and enjoys fighting in 6-inch platform heels for the role.
Hiromi is Indigenous Okinawan & Yaeyaman and is also a Japanese, Mexican, and Swedish-American. She can speak
Japanese, French, & Okinawan. She's a mezzo-soprano when performing feminine voice roles and a baritone for
masculine voice roles. Hiromi has fought competitively in jujitsu, judo, karate, and Ranger combatives tournaments.
She looks forward to the next time she can fight someone using one of her fire swords,
die gloriously on film, and bring an emotionally complex RPG actual play character to life.
